About Bronnum Lutheran Seminary

A Few Words About the Institution

Bronnum Lutheran Seminary (BLS) is a theological institute of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) founded in 1985. The seminary is located at Mbamba village, a suburb of Yola the Adamawa State capital, in the North Eastern State part of Nigeria. The city is also the seat of the Islamic/traditional leadership of the Adamawa region the “Lamido” of Adamawa. Due to the good historical relationship between the church and the Adamawa traditional leadership, the Lamido provided a land of over two square kilometres with a Certificate of Occupancy by the then Gongola State Government to the LCCN. The land was first given to make provision for an agricultural training centre, which also linked to the interest of the Lamido in Agricultural development.
  • Our Mission

The mission of the seminary is to educate and prepare men and women called by the Holy Spirit for ordained ministry, as well as Christian services in the church and society at large. Graduates of the seminary find employment with the church, government and private institutions.

  • Our Vision

Bronnum Lutheran Seminary vision is to attain a high academic excellence in order to train as many as possible church ministers and teachers so that in future, each local congregation of the church should have at least one pastor, train teachers to teach in both seminaries and government institutions.
